Ōtautahi, set your alarms. Morning People is taking the party outside for our first sunrise session of 2026, landing in the dramatic surrounds of The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora as part of The World Buskers Festival.
On Saturday 24 January, we welcome 2XM for a rare live Morning People performance, an electrifying way to start your day. Brothers Ben and Liam Murray have spent the past eight years shaping a sound that’s both finely tuned and wildly expressive, drawing from classical and jazz foundations, hip-hop energy, club culture, and a handful of unexpected left turns.
Their music has found a home on respected labels including Eton Messy, Sengiley, GLBDOM, Slothboogie, Café del Mar and Dansu Discs, with their debut album Love Unbound opening doors to standout moments like Boiler Room, Rhythm & Alps, and touring alongside Jasper Tygner. Propulsive, immersive, and built for movement, 2XM’s live set is tailor-made for a morning dancefloor—especially one under open skies.
As always, Morning People magic comes fully stocked with complimentary Altezano Brothers coffee, Karma Drinks, and delicious All Good bananas to keep you fuelled from first beat to final track.
Alcohol-free. All ages. Dress to sweat.
Party first. Everything else later.
Tickets won’t last—grab yours now.
The World Buskers Festival is proud to be smoke and vape free.
