A not so serious ‘Yoga’ class.
Meet Natalia
A rebel Pilates/Yoga teacher and former Latin dancer, who swapped her Salsa heels out for sticky mats and bright tights. This Greek Saffer with Egyptian roots, now fully-fledged Kiwi, invites you to master the art of laughter whilst wobbling, preferably without face-planting. This movement specialist and script writer who simply cannot resist a good hip swivel and a great laugh, is bringing her signature fun-first, perfection-later style of ‘Yoga’ or rather Shmoga! to the fabulously entertaining Buskers Festival.
The only requirement is that you show up and be ready to leave smiling and giddy.
Known for her flexibility, Nat’s classes are equal parts mum humour and stand-up comedy-mostly unintentional. A proud Pilates nerd, she’ll happily correct your posture, while reminding you she once pulled a muscle while sneezing. She teaches Yoga like she lives life, enthusiastically, slightly sideways, and always a beat away from breaking into a shimmy.
The World Buskers Festival is proud to be smokefree and vapefree.
The class is adapted from her original one-act script titled ‘Yoga Shmoga’ based on a mum desperately trying to get to ONE single yoga class, amidst the chaos of misplaced toddlers, mysteriously sticky surfaces and the existential question namely: Where are your shoes darling? Expect poses that might look like actual yoga or interpretive dance meets desperate stretching. Laughter is mandatory, flexibility, optional and enlightenment, purely accidental.
